The Soyfoods Council works to educate people on the health benefits and culinary applications of soyfoods.
The Council, created and funded by the Iowa Soybean Association, represents nearly all facets of the food industry, including soyfoods product manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, state and national soybean checkoff boards, food retailers and distributors, and health and food-service professionals.
The Soyfoods Council serves as a catyalist, leader and facilitator to mainstream soy-based foods into the global marketplace—America and beyond—by making connections between edible soybean growers and food producers, foods distributors, chefs, retailers and consumers.
All of the traditional soyfoods, such as tofu, soymilk, tempeh and edamame, are rich sources of isoflavones providing about 30 to 40 milligrams per serving.
