- 1 cup besan or 100 grams besan
- ¾ cup maida or 90 to 95 grams maida
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- ¾ to 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 5 tablespoons water
- for bhakarwadi stuffing:
- 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
- ½ cup desiccated coconut or 40 grams
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- salt as required
- 1.5 to 2 tablespoons sugar
- oil
