- ½ tablespoon chana dal
- 10 to 12 cashews
- 1 or 2 dry red chilies
- ½ to 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- 10 to 12 curry leaves
- 1.5 cups grated fresh coconut
