- 1 or 1.25 cup besan
- 1 cup methi leaves
- 1 medium sized ripe banana
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ¼ to ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
- 8 to 10 whole black pepper
- ½ teaspoon coriander seeds
- 2 pinches of asafoetida
- 2 to 3 pinch of baking soda
- 2 teaspoon oil
- 1 green chili + ½ inch ginger
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- salt as required
- oil for deep frying the pakoras
