- 1 cup fresh coconut
- 1 green chili,
- 2 teaspoon tamarind without seeds
- ½ inch ginger,
- salt as required
- ½ cup water
- for tempering:
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or sesame oil or any oil
- ½ or ¾ teaspoon mustard seeds/rai
- ½ or ¾ teaspoon cumin seeds/jeera
- 1 or 2 dry red chilies
- 1 sprig curry leaves
