Spicy Crock Pot Chile Meatballs in Barbecue Sauce

- 36 small meatballs (such as two 12-ounce packages Aidell's Chicken & Turkey Chipotle Meatballs, or use your favorite beef meatballs or homemade) (see below)
- 1 jar/12 ounces jelly (apple)
- 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
- 2 chili peppers (poblano, coarsely chopped, or mild Anaheim peppers)
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 1 dash garlic powder (or 1 small clove garlic, minced)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (chipotle)
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (ancho)
