  • FOR THE PECAN PIE FILLING:
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¾ cup coarsely chopped pecans*
  • *or ½ cup coarsely chopped pecans and ¼ cup chocolate chips.:
