- 4 yellow onions, thinly sliced

- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, or use 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary leaves, or use 1 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 11/2 cups Apple Cider, (NOT Apple Cider Vinegar )
- 11/2 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 granny smith apples, cored and quartered
