  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3 ounces orange-flavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup crushed ice
  • 1 teaspoon pure orange extract
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed
  • 15 ounces mandarin oranges, drained and halved (reserve 8 whole slices for garnish)
