  • 1/2 cup water
  • For the stew:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large yellow onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 28 ounces can of fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 2 cups frozen or canned lima beans
  • 15 ounce can of corn rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 11/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
