Banana Bread Double Batch (Walnuts & Chocolate Chips)

Ingredients (12)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for flouring pan
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 6 brown bananas, peeled
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Grease and flour two 9x5-inch loaf pans or use 2 pieces of parchment paper to line the pan.
  3. Beat brown sugar, white sugar, and butter together in a large bowl using a hand mixer until creamy and smooth.
  4. Beat bananas and eggs into creamed butter mixture until well mixed.
  5. Sprinkle 2 cups flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt onto creamed butter-banana mixture and beat until batter is evenly combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between 2 bowls.
  7. Add chocolate chips and walnuts to batter and stir well. Pour batter into the 2 prepared loaf pans.
  8. Bake both loaves in the preheated oven until a wooden skewer comes out clean from the middle of each bread loaf, about 50 minutes. Every oven is different so keep an eye on your bread.
