
Banana Bread Double Batch (Walnuts & Chocolate Chips)
Ingredients (12)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for flouring pan
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 6 brown bananas, peeled
- 5 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease and flour two 9x5-inch loaf pans or use 2 pieces of parchment paper to line the pan.
- Beat brown sugar, white sugar, and butter together in a large bowl using a hand mixer until creamy and smooth.
- Beat bananas and eggs into creamed butter mixture until well mixed.
- Sprinkle 2 cups flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt onto creamed butter-banana mixture and beat until batter is evenly combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between 2 bowls.
- Add chocolate chips and walnuts to batter and stir well. Pour batter into the 2 prepared loaf pans.
- Bake both loaves in the preheated oven until a wooden skewer comes out clean from the middle of each bread loaf, about 50 minutes. Every oven is different so keep an eye on your bread.
