- 1/2 cup each chopped celery, onion and green pepper

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) chicken broth
- 1 cup uncooked diced peeled potatoes
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 can (14-3/4 ounces) cream-style corn
- 2 cups half-and-half cream
- 2 cups fully cooked salmon chunks or 1 can salmon, drained, bones and skin removed (14-3/4 ounces)
- Optional: Crumbled cooked bacon, minced chives and cracked black pepper
