Goldfish Rice Krispies Treats

Ingredients (4)

  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 1 (10-ounce) bag marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups fish-shaped cheddar crackers (such as Pepperidge Farms Goldfish crackers), or more as needed

Directions

  1. Line an 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a large pot over medium-low heat; add butter and stir until butter is melted, 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Mix marshmallows and vanilla extract into melted butter and stir continuously until completely smooth and melted, 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Remove pot from heat and immediately fold in the fish-shaped cheddar crackers until they are fully coated.
  5. Pour the cracker mixture into the prepared pan and press down gently. Using the butter wrapper to press helps prevent sticking.
  6. Let the treats cool to room temperature before slicing.
