Quarter Pound Corn Dogs

Ingredients (10)

• 4 quarter pound beef hot dogs
• 1 1/2 Cups corn meal
• 2/3 Cups all-purpose flour, plus a big extra for coating dogs
• 1 12 ounce beer
• 1 Teaspoon baking powder
• 1 Teaspoon paprika
• 1 Teaspoon red pepper flakes (opt)
• 1 large egg
• 1 big pinch of salt and pepper
• Oil for frying, probably two quarts
