- 7 large Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed (one sliced thinly)
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 5-6 cloves garlic
- 1 Cup milk
- 1/4 Cup cream
- 1 1/2 Cups shredded cheese. I like Pepper Jack
- 6 strips thick bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
- Optional herbs: Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, etc.
