- 1 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 star anise
- 2 stick cinnamon
- Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Simmer until reduced by one-third. Let cool. Makes about 1 cup.
