- 1 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Optional: 1 tablespoon bourbon
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- Optional, for serving: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
