Meatball Stuffed Crescent Rolls

- MEATBALL FILLING:
- 2 slices bread (remove the crusts, I use day old Italian)
- 1/2 pound ground beef* (70-77% lean)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 clove garlic minced
- EXTRAS:
- 1 unbaked pie crust (homemade or store bought)
- 1 cup shredded Fontina/ Gruyere or firm mozzarella cheese
- 2-3 tablespoons extra Parmesan cheese for topping
- 1-2 tablespoon milk or olive oil
