Caramel Apple Cake Recipe

- CARAMILIZED APPLES:
- 2 medium apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (if desired)
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 1 3/4 cups + 1 tablespoon cake/pastry flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (lightly packed)
- 1/2 cup butter melted (cooled)
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (room temperature)
- For room temperature remove the ingredients from the fridge 30-45 minutes before using.:
