  • for sugar syrup:
  • 1 heaped cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 10 to 12 saffron strands
  • a few drops of lemon juice
  • other ingredient:
  • oil or ghee for deep frying,
  • for garnish:
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
