- for the pan fried tofu:
- 250 grams plain tofu
- 3 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoon cornflour
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 or 2 sichuan pepper,
- 2 to 3 tablespoon oil for pan frying
- ½ cup water
- salt as required
