
Double Chocolate Cupcakes with Sprinkles
Ingredients (20)
- 3 oz. semi sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups fresh brewed coffee
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 heaping teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cups vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ounces semi sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- Pinch salt
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon coffee (if you have it leftover from the cake--it's not totally necessary, but I feel like it cuts the sweet of the powdered sugar nicely)
- 6-8 Tablespoons half and half (or milk or cream)
