Garlic Honey Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip
Ingredients (24)
Garlic Honey Chicken Wings
- 3 lb Chicken Wings
- 1 qrt Peanut Oil
- 1 T Kosher Salt
- 1 T Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 3 oz Thai Red Chiles
- or 3 oz Serrano Chiles
- 6 Garlic Cloves
- ½ cup Sugar
- ⅔ cup Water
- 1 T Vinegar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 cup Honey
- 2 tsp Sesame Oil
- 3 T Ketchup
Blue Cheese Dip
- 6 oz Salemville® Blue Cheese Crumbles
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 T Whole Milk
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 T Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Directions
Garlic Honey Chicken Wings
- Add 1 Tbsp salt and 1 Tbsp pepper to wings and fry in peanut oil on high heat to a golden brown. Cool on drying rack.
- Pulse chili peppers and 3 garlic cloves in food processor.
- In saucepan combine chili and garlic mixture, water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Simmer 10 mins.
- Add ketchup, sesame oil, ½ cup soy sauce, 3 chopped garlic cloves, bring to boil then turn down to simmer.
- Toss wings in sauce.
Blue Cheese Dip
Add 4 oz blue cheese crumbles to sour cream, mayo, milk, garlic powder, onion powder and lemon juice.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Chill and serve.
Garnish with remaining 2 oz blue cheese crumbles.
